About the Forum

Context

In 2014, a prospective study from UN Global Compact and Accenture stated that more than 60% of African’s entrepreneurs assessed that Sustainable Development was relevant for the upcoming success of their enterprises. This result translates through numerous initiatives in Enterprises’ Societal Responsibility, that Africa is experiencing, in parallel, tremendous opportunities for Inclusive and Sustainable Development, performance improvement of companies and their reputation. This trend, which fits with UN’s call related to the implementation of 17 new goals of Sustainable Development, deserves an acknowledgement with high added value.

True result of an overall consultation, the Forum of the Societal Commitment of the Enterprises in Africa fits in a certain way in this logic.

This Forum will allow companies on the continent to promote their "success stories" and draw inspiration from "best practices" in terms of Social Commitment.
