Lomé is the capital and main city of Togo. It is located in the extreme southwest of the country, along the coast of the Gulf of Guinea. Officially, the city has 2,188,376 inhabitants in Greater Lomé according to the fifth general census of population and housing (RGPH5) carried out in 2022, including 1,127,872 women and 1,060,504 men.
Its agglomeration develops up to the border with Ghana in the southwest and towards Davié almost touching Tsevié in the North. New neighborhoods are created very quickly, which demonstrates the degree of expansion of the city and its population.
